Black Flexible Plastic Straws 6mm x 248mm

Black flexible plastic straws with a 6mm bore, 248mm long.

Buy the quantity you actually need. Available in packs of 200, 400 and 1,000 straws as well as the full case — so you can trial a size before committing to a pallet, or top up between deliveries.

A concertina neck bends to any angle and holds position, so a drink can be taken without lifting or tilting the cup — which matters in care homes, hospital wards and day centres.

6mm bore. The all-purpose catering bore. Soft drinks, juices, iced coffee, cordials, cocktails. If you stock one size, this is it.

248mm length. Extra tall — 24oz-plus cups, sundae glasses and sharing drinks.

Best for

• Care homes, wards and day centres — the concertina neck holds its angle, so a resident can drink without lifting the cup.
• Everyday catering — the everyday bore for soft drinks, juice, iced coffee and cordials.
• Bars and cocktails — narrow enough to look right in a highball or a can.

Which bore do you need?

Bore is the internal diameter, and it is the only measurement that decides whether a drink actually comes up the straw. Too narrow and it blocks; too wide and you pay for material the drink does not need. Our range runs 6mm to 12mm:

• 6mm — soft drinks, juice, iced coffee, cordials and cocktails. You are looking at a 6mm straw. Also in 6mm: Black Flexible Plastic Straws 6mm x 200mm, Black Paper Straws 3 Ply 6mm x 240mm.
• 8mm — milkshakes, thinner smoothies, slush and blended iced drinks. Black Spoon Plastic Straws 8mm x 200mm, Red & White Paper Straws 8mm x 230mm.
• 9mm — thick shakes, smoothies with pulp, and 80mm/90mm dome lids. Black Individually Wrapped Plastic Straws 9mm x 200mm.
• 10mm — very thick shakes, slush with fruit pieces, bubble tea with small pearls. Mixed Colour Plastic Straws 10mm x 200mm, Red Striped Paper Straws 3 Ply 10mm x 200mm.
• 12mm — bubble tea and boba — tapioca pearls need the full 12mm. Mixed Colour Plastic Straws 12mm x 260mm, Custom Print Paper Straws 4 Ply 12mm x 240mm.
